How to organise kids clothes
A. Organise clothes. Often you will buy kids clothes as a matching set. Keep them organised by hanging them together, for example put some pants on a hanger and put the shirt over the same hanger. Then your child can simply choose the outfit they want.
B. Get the kids to help. Make it easy for your kids to put clothes away and you'll have a better chance at getting them to do it themselves. Store away and out of site all the clothes your child is unlikely to wear. Establish standard locations for specific type of clothes
eg t-shirts top draw, pants middle draw etc. Maybe even label these areas with words or pictures almost making it a game for your child. Give each child their own labelled or coloured laundry basket to drop dirty clothes in.
C. Get clothes ready. Rushing to get the kids and yourself ready to go out ? Kids bedroom a mess ? You ease the process of getting ready by getting your kids clothes ready before hand. Select a few matching outfits that your child likes to wear, hours if not the night before and lay them out ready for your child to choose. This will save time and avoid messy drawers and clothes all over the floor.
D. A big dresser isn't always the best answer. Lots of choice for your child makes it more difficult to choose. Those top drawers that you find so easy to reach may not be easily reachable for your child. A smaller dresser with less clothes that your child can see in to and reach everything will make getting dressed easier and quicker. Also keep a small stool nearby so your child can reach those higher or deeper drawers.
E. Labelling. Especially good when you have several children. Label the clothes so you know which clothes for which child, label the dresser drawers for each child. Maybe even use different colour clothes for each child.
F. Teach your kids to fold their socks together before they get put in the
laundry basket. Buy similar style and colour socks sometimes to avoid that missing sock scenario.
